College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University Holds the Open Scientific Day 2024

Under the patronage of the President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at the University held the activities of the “Open Scientific Day for the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics 2024”.

During the Scientific Day activities, the organizing committee at the college, headed by Dr. Layal Al-Zaben, organized (4) various scientific competitions, which are: -
1- Graduation Projects Competition
2- Three-minute competition
3- Course Projects Competition
4- Technology information competition

These competitions focused on the participation of students from all educational levels in order to provide them with the opportunity to actively participate with innovative and diverse ideas, starting with the students displaying posters and applications that represent their projects in a creative way, and ending with a scientific competition with various questions in various computer sciences.

The college hosted a team of external arbitrators for the various competitions, including academics from distinguished universities and representatives of leading technological institutions, which gave the competitions a high level of evaluation and professionalism. The open scientific day was accompanied by a diverse charitable bazaar with various participations from the college’s students, which left a significant positive impact on developing the students’ skills in various creative fields.

The event concluded with a speech from the Dean of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University, Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, who thanked everyone who contributed to the success of this scientific day, including arbitrators, organizers, and participating students. He also stressed the importance of this day in promoting applied projects and supporting the spirit of creativity and innovation among students. Dr. Al-Hamad also crowned the students who won the competitions and the participating teams as follows:

The first place in the Graduation Projects Competition was won by the student Raghad Abu Rizq with the DEH$R project, the second place was won by the student Samar Abu Dayyah with her project AAU Graduation, and the third place was won by the students: Zainab Aqil, Abdul Rahman Al-Amayreh, and Basil Al-Zoubi with their project Face Map Tech.

In the course projects competition, the first place was won by the student Alaa Al Fakhouri with the Mavhash project, the second place was won by the students: Qais Al-Sarayrah, and Wadih Haddad with their CyberAliens project, and the third place was won by the students: Chiper Tools project: Jamal Nazzal, Ibrahim Abu Dayyah, and Ahmed Al-Dweik.

In a technological information competition, the winning team were the students: Ahmed Al-Sardi, Issa Alqam, Omar Al-Nazer, and Bilal Mustafa.

In the three-minute competition, the first place was won by the students: Amir Muhammad Ali, Omar Anwar Mustafa, and Qusai Al-Hazaima with their project Top Court. The second place was won by the students: Salah Al-Awda, Aya Abu Ghneim, Muhammad Abdullah with their IOT IOS project, and the third place was won by the students: Which is the Circumstances, Rayan Al-Saad, Nermin Muhammad with their project CS Learn, and in third place were repeated students: Dalaa Saqr Sidra Awama, Rasha Khaled with their project Uni Bus.
