Signing a Cooperation Agreement between “Amman Arab University” and the General Food and Drug Administration

Amman - Based on Amman Arab University’s belief in the complementarity between the University and local community institutions, President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, visited the General Food and Drug Administration and was received by Prof. Nizar Mhaidat, Director General of the Corporation, in the presence of Prof. Rana Abu Huwaij, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University and a number From the relevant directors of the institution.During the meeting a cooperation agreement was signed between Amman Arab University and the General Food and Drug Administration to strengthen relations between the two sides in the areas of training, scientific consultation, applied empowerment, organizing various courses that meet the needs of students of the College of Pharmacy at the University, providing the opportunity for employees of both parties to benefit from the experiences and skills of distinguished competencies with unique majors in the other party, implementing joint training programs and cooperating in publishing joint scientific papers and participating in conferences and scientific seminars, in addition to qualifying students for the labor market by benefiting from qualification programs in the pharmaceutical fields.

During the meeting, Prof. Al-Widyan stressed his pride in the cooperation and partnership relations with the Food and Drug General Corporation, and the University’s keenness to network with all national institutions that would raise the level of the field of conducting applied research and studies in general, especially those studies directed to serve both the health and pharmaceutical sectors and the pharmaceutical industry and the cosmetics and biotechnology industries. Prof. Al-Widyan said that the University has worked to strengthen its capabilities in the field of training, scientific consultation, applied empowerment, and in the field of scientific research, laboratory and scientific services, and scientific studies in the pharmaceutical field recently.

For his part, Dr. Mhaidat expressed his admiration for the level reached by Amman Arab University, stressing that the agreement came to strengthen the partnership in the field of conducting research and applied studies in the field of the pharmaceutical industry and employing them to develop joint competitive products, exchanging and transferring expertise and information, and cooperating in the field of joint training courses and programs. Mhaidat stressed during Signing the agreement reflects the Foundation’s continuous endeavor to enhance effective partnerships with national academic institutions, emphasizing the Foundation’s approach to activating its role and societal responsibility towards national universities and its approach to moving forward to support investment in Jordan in all fields.
