"Ask the Pharmacist" An Initiative at Amman Arab University

The Field Training Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the students of the college, organized an inspiring initiative on the campus entitled "Ask the Pharmacist", where the initiative aimed to increase the health awareness of university students from various disciplines about the use of medicines, including painkillers, antibiotics and vitamins, and enhance their knowledge of the correct ways to use asthma sprays and allergies. The initiative also included providing services such as: measuring blood pressure and educating students about the symptoms of common diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

In this regard, Prof. Rana Abu Huwig, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, pointed out that this initiative is coping with the directions of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University, which aims to link theoretical knowledge with practical application, enhance students' self-confidence in dealing with community members, highlight the role of the vital pharmacist as a health care provider in ensuring patient safety and the effectiveness of treatment, guiding patients about the optimal and safe use of medicines, and providing advice on side effects and possible drug interactions.

It is noteworthy that the initiative showed a great impact on university members and an interactive response that highlighted the importance of the pharmacist's role as a reliable health consultant, and his vital role in educating the community about the importance of using medicines properly and safely.
