College of Business at Amman Arab University Implements a Workshop for Alumni of the Human Resources Major

As part of its efforts to strengthen the interactive relationship between the College of Business at Amman Arab University and its Alumni and the importance of creating a collective educational environment, and with the aim of developing the relationship between the college and alumni and considering that the graduate is the focus of the University’s attention, the College of Business seeks to follow up its graduates in all majors and academic levels to determine their training needs that are compatible with the market to increase the skills and capabilities of graduates, and to consolidate this concept, College of Business at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the College of Business Talent Management Club, held a workshop entitled workforce planning and strategic job replacement.

The Dean of the College of Business, Professor. Hassan Al-Zoubi, confirmed that such scientific activities consolidate the applied concept among alumni through continuous study of the needs of the labor market and raising the capabilities and skills of alumni to suit these needs, and by listening to those with experience in the business organizations sector and learning about their most important human needs, which would help improve business organizations.

For his part, Dr. Mutee Al-Shibli, a faculty member in the College of Business, confirmed that this workshop and other future activities are among the goals of the Talent Management Club of the College and the Department of Business Administration, as there is continuous communication with alumni to realize their needs in the labor market and reduce the gap between their knowledge and the actual need of business organizations. Such activities that keep pace with developments in the labor market would raise the efficiency of alumni of the College of Business and put them at the forefront by increasing their skills and raising their actual performance.

It is noteworthy that Mr. Muhammad Namura - a human resources expert who is a master’s student in the College of Business - specializing in human resources at Amman Arab University, implemented this workshop, stressing that this workshop is one of the most important topics that alumni need in order to put them on the right path, as the workshop dealt with a group of Topics including:
Introduction to workforce planning and strategic job replacement
Workforce planning systems and operations
Skills gap analysis and practical applications
Leadership roles within workforce planning
Budgets and their types related to workforce planning
Talent management and improving the effectiveness of workforce planning and job succession
The importance and how to build career paths
Designing jobs and linking them to job replacement
