Amman Arab University Participates in Organization of the 15th Arab Robot Championship

Amman Arab University Participates in Organization of the 15th Arab Robot Championship

Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Aviation Science and Engineering at Amman Arab University and Chairman of the Scientific Committee in the Arab Robotic Society, participated in supervising the organization of the activities of the fifteenth Arab Robotic Championship, which was held at the Kempinski Hotel, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafza, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized by the Arab Robotic Society, with the participation of more than 400 participants from several countries: Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya, in addition to Jordan.

The Arab Robotic Association held a press conference chaired by Engineer Ismail Yassin and in the presence of: Engineer Ayman Qabbani, Vice President of the Association, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, representative of the Arab Society in Jordan, Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Committee and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Arab Society, and Dr. Osama Al-Asmar, Director of the tournament, who stressed the readiness of all matters related to hosting the tournament, stressing the great role played by the Arab Society in sponsoring and supporting talented people in the field of robots and artificial intelligence in all Arab countries.

The tournament included the ball collection competition, the line tracking competition, the sumo competition, and the innovation competition with three levels, and the results were as follows:

- Innovators / Industry competition, first place won the Roxot team from Libya, the second place was won by the MEU team from Jordan, and the third place was won by the KD Tech team from Kuwait.

- Young Innovators Competition, first place won the programming club team from Iraq, the second place was won by the Islamic Scientific College team from Jordan, and the third place (duplicate) team of the warrior from Iraq, and the Fujairah Club team from the UAE.

- Ball collection competition / beginner, first place won by a talent team from Yemen, the second place was won by the Steam Center team from Jordan, and the third place was won by the Steam Center team from Jordan.

- Ball collection competition / advanced, first place, Al-Hassad Jordan School won, the second place was a heavenly team from Yemen, and the third place was Amr bin Al-Aas school from Qatar.

- A line tracking competition / beginner, the first place was won by Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib School from the Sultanate of Oman, the second place won the amazing team from Yemen, and the third place was the team of the Al-Deaf School (Yadna Speaks) from Jordan.

- Line tracking competition / advanced, first place was won by Omar Bin Al-Khattab School from Qatar, the second place was the Sumaya School from Qatar, and the third place was won by the Smart Beck team from Egypt.

- Sumo / Beginner competition, first place won the crash team from Yemen, the second place was won by the GR Robot team from Tunisia, and the third place was won by the B-Bots team from Tunisia.

- Sumo / Advanced competition, first place won the Nert 3 team from Jordan, the second place was won by the Nert 2 team from Jordan, and the third place was the Uber Cut from Jordan.

It is noteworthy that Amman Arab University hosts the Arab Society for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence on the university campus in support of the association and to embody the university's vision of leadership and excellence, in addition to establishing and launching a specialized robot incubator at the Arab Amman University. Preparations are currently underway to organize the first international conference for aviation science and the seventh for robot and artificial intelligence in cooperation with the Arab Society for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the campus of Amman Arab University during the period 28-29 May 2024.
