Initiatives to Enhance the Culture of Participation among Amman Arab University Students

The “Give Me Your Book” initiative and the “Student Guidance” initiative were launched at Amman Arab University to enhance the culture of participation among University students. Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of the University, sponsored launching the activities of the two initiatives, which are organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs periodically at the beginning of each semester, and in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan and Ms. Shatha Al-Rabeeh, Head of the Counseling and Psychological Services Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs, with the participation of students from various colleges.

On this occasion, Prof. Al-Widyan expressed his happiness and encouragement for such initiatives that aim to enhance the spirit of cooperation among students and because of their impact on deepening their social responsibility, and the possibility of reaching all university students and encouraging them to participate in such initiatives. He pointed out that the University seeks to involve students in extracurricular activities that meet their needs and desires and fill their free time with what benefits them.

For his part, Prof. Bani Hamdan added that this initiative is one of the quarterly initiatives of the Deanship of Student Affairs, through which it aims to enhance social responsibility among students through exchanging scientific references and books among themselves, and adopting what enhances sustainability by making use of books for more than one student, or with regard to the Student Guidance Initiative that aims to facilitate the process of compatibility between students and the University environment and speed up the completion of transactions that can serve students in the various departments of the University.
