“Amman Arab University” and “Social Security Corporation” Enhance Joint Cooperation
President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, received in his office the Director General of the Social Security Corporation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tarawneh. During the meeting, they discussed enhancing aspects of academic, scientific and research cooperation and accepting more students who are children of social security retirees, in the presence of: Professor. Ismail. Yamin, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad, Assistant to the President for Planning and Quality Assurance, Mrs. Nadia Al-Qadimat, Assistant to the President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Nassar, Director of the Marketing Department, Mr. Waddah Mesmar, Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations at the University, and all of: Mr. Mahmoud Al-Maaytah, Assistant General Director for Studies and Information/Director of the Media Center and Official Spokesperson, Ms. Najla Al-Shraida, Director of the Public Relations Directorate, Dr. Ali Al-Rahmaneh, Head of the Agreements Follow-up Department, and Mr. Hamza Al-Sammadi, Head of the Public Relations Department. During the meeting, Prof. Al-Widyan presented the establishment of Amman Arab University, the stages that the University went through, the programs available at the University, the University’s vision in taking aspects of excellence and creating a competitive advantage in several directions, and the unique specializations of its kind, such as the specialization of avionics sciences, the specialization of digital marketing, and the specialization of data science and artificial intelligence at the level of Bachelor’s degree, in addition to unique specializations at the master’s degree level, such as strategic management, arbitration and commercial dispute resolution, pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs .Prof .Al-Widyan stressed that the university is keen to graduate competent students and engage in the labor market effectively, and pointed to the University’s efforts in promoting the concept of social responsibility through the Office of Social Responsibility, which is unique to the university at the level of Jordanian universities.
For his part, Al-Tarawneh stressed that the corporation seeks to provide more services and special privileges to its retirees, which provides its services to nearly two million people, between subscribers and retirees. He pointed to the importance of partnership between the government and private sectors, as Amman Arab University has become a strategic partner in the field of caring for retirees in the field of education, praising the University’s role and cooperation in various fields, as the university offers scholarships and additional discounts on university fees and by providing installment facilities for children of social security retirees.
