College of Engineering at Amman Arab University Meets Graduates

Under the directives of the President of Amman Arab University, Professor Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, and coping with the University’s vision and mission regarding the necessity of continuous communication with graduates, Deanship of Student Affairs and the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University organized a meeting with a number of college graduates, in the presence of: Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, Dean of Student Affairs. Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, heads of academic departments, Mr. Wael Al-Hourani, Director of the Graduate Follow-up Office, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members at the college.

Prof. Bani Hamdan welcomed the graduates of the College of Engineering, stressing during the meeting that the University is proud of its graduates and is keen to maintain constant communication with them. He pointed out the importance of transferring their expertise to the university students from their scientific and practical experiences. He also praised the excellence of the graduates of the College of Engineering in all its specializations in their jobs, whether at the level of the governmental sector or the private sector, which in itself is a source of pride for Amman Arab University.

In turn, Dr. Al-Assaf spoke during the meeting about the most important obstacles that a graduate of the College of Engineering could encounter, and stressed the college’s keenness to maintain constant communication with its graduates in order to transfer their practical and scientific experiences to university students. Dr. Al-Assaf also welcomed the participation of graduates in all courses intended to be held within the college, whether As lecturers or attendees, which fulfills their role in serving their community, he added that the college is keen to receive feedback from graduates from both the academic and administrative aspects, and to listen to the ideas and proposals presented by graduates. Dr. Al-Assaf also listened to the graduates’ comments regarding the labor market and the most important challenges they faced in their working lives, and asked each graduate to provide him with a video summary of each graduate’s projects in his workplace, if possible.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Bani Hamdan stressed the importance of the student’s skills portfolio and its role in enhancing the CV, directing the graduates to the need to update their data on the University’s website to achieve further progress for the University in the classifications for all fields and to facilitate the access of various employment agencies to them.
