Dr. Al-Hasban from “Amman Arab University” Participates in the Scientific Symposium of World Education Day

In an effort to enhance the role of the College of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University in achieving the sustainable development goals in general and focusing on the fourth goal in particular, which talks about “ensuring the provision of quality and comprehensive education and enhancing lifelong learning opportunities for all,” Dr. Ahmed Al-Hasban, a faculty member at the College, participated Aeronautical Sciences at Amman Arab University as a speaker in a lecture entitled (GNSS as Educational Tool) at the regional scientific symposium on the occasion of World Education Day, which was organized by the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia/United Nations.

The symposium aimed to highlight the role of space science and technology in achieving the goals of sustainable development in general and to focus on the fourth goal in particular. The symposium was under the slogan “Space science and technology in education and sustainable development,” and witnessed discussions about employing space science and technology in promoting industry. Knowledge and its transfer, especially from developed countries, to benefit third world countries, and the great and positive role that space technology plays in providing distance education opportunities, and strengthening the principle of partnership between members in developing educational platforms using space technology.

It is noteworthy that the symposium was held via the Zoom platform of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology, and an elite group of lecturers and professors from local and regional universities participated in it, including: Dr. Ahmed Al-Hasban from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Kamal Muhammad from the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Dr. Imad Asadi from the Syrian Arab Republic. , Mr. Fawaz Al-Husseini from the State of Kuwait, and Mrs. Zahra Vahanvati from the American Embassy in Jordan.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Al-Hasban holds the rank of assistant professor in the Faculty of Aeronautical Sciences at Amman Arab University, and holds a doctorate from the University of Public Service of the Hungarian Republic in the specialty of aeronautics and satellite communications engineering, and holds a master’s degree in the same specialty from the French Higher Institute of Aerospace Engineering. ENAC. He has several scientific research papers in the field of space technology. He has participated in several regional and international conferences in his field of engineering. He has authored three books. He is an aviation systems analyst and a writer for local electronic newspapers.
