"Amman Arab University" receives a delegation from the American

Fulbright Commission for Educational Exchange - Jordan Representing the President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohaomad Al-Widyan, the President’s Assistant for Academic Affairs, Professor. Ismail Yamin, and in the presence of the Director of the International Office and External Relations, Dr. Muhammad Sahwil, received a delegation from the American Commission for Educational Exchange “Fulbright” / Jordan, which included: Mrs. Irene Petro, Educational Advisor - Embassy American University in Amman, Mrs. Rana Anani - Chief Program Officer, Miss Aya Sharafa - Program Officer, and Miss Rasha Mustafa - Responsible for Student Opportunities.

Prof. Yamin welcomed the delegation and appreciated the efforts exerted by the program, expressing the university’s continued support for cooperation projects with the Fulbright Foundation and opportunities to expand its horizons. He stressed that Amman Arab University seeks, based on its strategic plan, towards achieving international standards in teaching most of its programs by taking many measures,among the procedures and steps that enable colleges to achieve international accreditation for their programs.

For his part, Dr. Sahwil stressed the importance of cultural exchange programs for faculty members and university students, which also contribute to refining the students’ personalities, developing their talents, and introducing them to other cultures, which reflects positively on their behavior and creative thinking, to raise their cultural and educational level.

On the sidelines of the visit, the guest delegation provided an explanation about the grants that fall under the Fulbright Program, the relevant links, and how to apply for it, during a meeting organized by the International Office and Foreign Relations, in cooperation with the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies and the Academic Development Department at Amman Arab University, in the presence of the University’s Assistant President for academic affairs and a number of faculty members and students at the university.
