"Amman Arab University" Implements a Cybersecurity Workshop at the Jordanian Engineers Association / Jerash Branch
Coping with the vision of Amman Arab University to disseminate awareness of recent issues and developments, the Jordanian Engineers Association / Jerash Branch hosted a faculty member in the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University, Dr. Firas Abu Al-Adas, an expert in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Abu Al-Adas presented a workshop entitled “Cybersecurity”, which tackled general concepts in this field and the role of cybersecurity in approaching digital environment.
During the workshop, Dr. Abu Adas provided advice on cybersecurity awareness, and the ability of individuals to protect their electronic devices and accounts from threats. He also reviewed concepts such as phishing and the dangers of privacy breaches, indicating how to overcome these challenges. The workshop included fruitful discussions and dialogues between the attendees and the lecturer about the importance of cybersecurity and awareness. Moreover, the attendees showed great interaction and enthusiasm towards the aforementioned topic, realizing the importance of this aspect in their daily lives.
