College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University Holds an Advanced Workshop for the Students on the Principles of Dealing with Animals

In a distinctive step towards enhancing applied and research education, College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, held a training workshop entitled “Principles of Dealing with Animals” with the aim of enhancing practical and research skills among students. Dr. Sarah Nasser Al-Din trained the students of the College of Pharmacy comprehensively covering the ethics and basics of dealing with laboratory mice in the context of pharmaceutical research. It also covered the latest techniques used in dealing with the mouse outside the cage, including pregnancy, needle injections, body dissection, and the mechanism of extracting important tissue

It is noteworthy that the workshop witnessed active interaction by (65) male and female students from the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, in addition to distinguished participation by members of the teaching and administrative staff, as the students showed great interest in understanding and applying the concepts of dealing with animals in the context of scientific research, which added The workshop has a distinctive value that reflects the college’s commitment to providing an advanced educational experience and a pioneering step to improve the quality of educational outcomes to build a distinguished student cadre armed with the knowledge, capabilities, skills, values, and practices that qualify them to practice various fields of the profession with efficiency and the ability to deal with the challenges of pharmaceutical research.
