College of Pharmacy is Promoting Practical and Professional Education at Amman Arab University
Within the framework of Amman Arab University’s efforts to promote the skills and capabilities of its students and prepare them for the labor market, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University, Dr. Rana Abu Haweij, the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the University’s Consulting and Training Center, organized a scientific training visit for fourth-year students in the College of Pharmacy to the Center of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Industries, affiliated with the Amman Arab University. During the visit, Ms. Aitzaz Shneikat, Director of the Center, presented an overview of the center’s establishment and its excellence in providing an educational and training environment that simulates the real work environment, and providing all the necessary means and equipment to produce solid pharmaceutical preparations such as tablets and capsules in their final form.
It is noteworthy that the visit included training the students on the foundations of good drug manufacturing in all its production stages, and procedures for pharmaceutical, health, occupational and environmental safety control, starting with how to deal with raw materials and ensuring their quality, then mixing and kneading them, adding auxiliary ingredients, and then pressing, coating and packaging the tablets as a final product,after conducting internal tests that prove the quality and safety of the product, leading to the production of a final product that complies with the highest international standards and standards.
At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Sarah Nasser Al-Din and Chemical Engineer Aisha Jarrah, who were supervising the visit, expressed their thanks and appreciation to the center’s management for the good reception and cooperation, praising the opportunity provided to the students to acquire practical skills that enhance their practical skills and increase their opportunities in the labor market.
