Amman Arab University Pioneers Ceremony
Jordanian figures who have held and continue to hold high and prestigious positions inside and outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with a long and very important history in various political, economic, educational and other fields. They hold doctoral and master’s degrees from Amman Arab University since its founding in 1999. These are the figures who attended the meeting of the First Pioneers of Amman Arab University, which was held in the university, under the patronage of the Chairman of its Board of Trustees, His Excellency Dr. Omar Mashhour Haditha Al-Jazi, and in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Mohamad Al-Widyan, his assistants, deans of colleges, and a number of members of the teaching and administrative staff at the University.
The meeting, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University and the Department of Media and Public Relations, implied many feelings of mutual pride and pride between the attending “University pioneers” and the University, which was and still is proud of its Alumni in various forums and positions who have clear impact in serving the nation from Excellences and Kindness, represented impressively their University, Amman Arab University.
This is what was emphasized by the sponsor of the ceremony, Dr. Omar Al-Jazi, through his welcoming speech to the attendees in this lofty scientific edifice, which brings in groups after groups every year and processions of alumni from the people of the country and from brotherly and friendly countries. Dr. Al-Jazi expressed the extent of pride in the attendance of the university’s pioneers, as he described them with a brilliant picture, which truly reflects its academic standing and demonstrates its good reputation. He added that they are the perfect example of the excellence of the University’s graduates who raise its name high inside and outside the country.
He added that this good meeting on this happy evening is only the first initiative of its kind taken by the University to remain a model of communication between it and its alumni throughout its educational years, especially those with important and senior positions, based on Amman Arab University’s vision of its societal responsibility and its keenness to following up on its distinguished alimni, and waiting for their support to contribute to achieving its vision and mission.
In turn, Professor. Mohammad Al-Widyan welcomed the attendees at Amman Arab University, which embraced them when they were students heading there to complete their postgraduate studies, where they gained all kinds of science and knowledge and obtained the highest certificates. He added that it is one of the happiest moments to meet you with all pride and dignity as you hold the highest leadership and administrative positions at your careers.
During his speech, Prof. Al-Widyan briefly tackled what Amman Arab University has achieved in its academic career, its prestigious status, and the good reputation it occupies among other universities. Since his presidency of the University, he demonstrated the continuation of the steps, with the support of the Board of Trustees, represented by its compassionate president, Dr. Omar Al-Jazi, and the members of the Council, who have never hesitated to make every effort to be pioneering and distinguished in achieving its outcomes, as well as through the efforts of the work team of the teaching and administrative staff, its workers and students.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, who moderated the meeting, explained the stages that the University has gone through since its founding until today’s date, praising the role of the University administration in the qualitative shift in terms of the numbers of alumni, colleges, new majors, and students, indicating that work is underway to revive the Amman Arab University Alumni Club, which many attendees expressed their desire to work on making it successful in the near future.
It is noteworthy that during the meeting, many of the pioneers of Amman Arab University spoke through their interventions in which they expressed their happiness with this meeting, and some of the attendees spoke about the beginnings of the University when it was called (Amman Arab University for Postgraduate Studies) as the first Jordanian university specializing in postgraduate master’s programs and the doctorate, where the attendees highlighted the University’s great role in refining their personalities and in holding them to high positions in the state, and expressed their readiness to maintain the relationship with their University. At the end of the meeting, the university pioneers were honored by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the University President.
