College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University Implements a “Lesson Planning” Workshop
The College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University held a training workshop entitled “Lesson Planning” at Al-Jahiz Comprehensive Secondary School in Zarqa Governorate. The workshop was implemented by a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods, Dr. Zuhair Zaghloul, a representative of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The workshop addressed English language teachers at school emphasize the importance of preparing a daily plan and procedures for writing it, training teachers on formulating behavioral goals, ways to focus on the teacher’s role in classroom activities and modern learning strategies, in addition to modern methods for evaluating students’ performance in the classroom.
At the end of the workshop, the teachers expressed interest in its topic because it worked to develop their skills and competencies in modern teaching and evaluation methods. The school director, Professor Wissam Al Shajarawi, thanked Amman Arab University for its distinguished interaction with the local community, and expressed the importance of continuing cooperation between Amman Arab University and the Zarqa Education Directorate to contribute to the development of education in Jordan.
Holding these workshops is regarded as a contribution from Amman Arab University to serving the local community and in line with the University’s slogan “Entrepreneurship and Excellence.”
