Workshop on “3D Tissue Printing Technology and its Vital Role” at Amman Arab University

Within the framework of supporting scientific research at Amman Arab University, the University’s College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with Al Yamamah Company, organized an applied workshop on 3D tissue printing technology and the vital role it plays in the field of pharmacy and scientific research. The workshop was opened by Mr. Shaalan Alyan, representative of Al Yamamah Company, in the presence of Professor. Rana. Abu Huwaij, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members at the college and students, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s products and services and how to direct them towards supporting the medical and pharmaceutical field.

Dr. Flor-Ann from Sweden gave an interactive lecture entitled:
3D Bio Printing Your Gate To The Future

Dr.Flor demonstrated a deep insight into 3D tissue printing techniques and their great importance in the field of pharmacy and biosciences. During the workshop, she reviewed the various applications of this technology in multiple fields of pharmaceutical research, including its use to produce models that represent the functions of human body organs such as skin and blood vessels, and the creation of... Models for specific diseases, and designs and manufactures customized medicines as needed.

The workshop witnessed enriching discussions about the opportunities for applying tissue printing technology in research and innovation projects in the field of pharmacy, and the college students expressed great interest in the field of pharmacy and biosciences, as this workshop comes as part of the university’s strategy to enhance scientific research by introducing modern and innovative technologies.
