On this occasion, Professor Dr. Mohamed Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, pointed out that the university's achievements are a result of the collective efforts of all staff, particularly the faculty members. He highlighted that the university has set ambitious plans aimed at improving and developing all aspects of its operations, ultimately reflecting on the quality of its graduates and ensuring an advanced position among local and regional universities, as well as achieving a prominent global ranking.
It's worth noting that the Scimago global ranking has been published since 2009 by the Scimago Research Group, based in Spain, which includes prestigious international research institutions and universities. The ranking is based on three sub-indicators: scientific research (50% weight), innovation (30% weight), and societal impact (20% weight). These criteria encompass 17 sub-indicators to accurately evaluate academic institutions. This year's ranking relies on data from the past five years, spanning from 2017 to 2021.
