Graduation of a Course in Space Science and Technology for Students of the College of Aviation at Amman Arab University
Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and Colonel Eng. Muammar Haddadin, Director General of the Royal Geographical Center - Director of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology - West Asia, sponsored the graduation of the members of the Basics of Space Science and Technology course from students of the College of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University on Wednesday, 28 /9/2022, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Aviation Sciences, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dr. May Al-Shaikhli, Director of the Consultation and Training Center at Amman Arab University, and Dr. Qais Al-Omari, Director of Training at the Regional Center.
The course topics included multiple and basic topics in space science and technology, the most important of which was a general introduction to space science, its applications, celestial coordinate systems, satellite movement and orbits, the importance of electromagnetic radiation in space communications and remote sensing, and atmospheric sciences and space weather were also discussed.
It is noteworthy that the number of participants in this course was sixteen students from Amman Arab University / College of Aviation Sciences, in addition to six students from the University of Jordan / Faculty of Engineering.
