" Amman Arab University " Participates in Activities of Jordanian Universities

Amman Arab University participated in the activities of the "Jordanian Universities Activities ", which was held at the University of Jordan about parties and their entry into universities and encouraging students to join them, which came in implementation of the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, which he launched during his meeting with university presidents in July of this year in  the context of launching a clear direction for Jordanian legislation and policies in order to promote the integration of young people into public work through the cross-party political participation portal.  Where the Amman Arab University was represented in the meeting by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Bani Hamdan, and the university students, Moamen Abu Rumman and Natalie Al-Adwan.

This trend was reinforced by the new election and party laws, as well as the steps indicated by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Professor . Wajih Owais, to amend and develop school and university curricula in line with the new approach, including the completion of the preparation of a system that frames partisan work in Jordanian universities to advance to break the barriers between students and parties and encourage them to engage in political life on the one hand, and ensure the professionalism of the educational process and keep it away from partisan, political and ideological polarization on the other hand.

This event also came to discuss the emphasis of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah on the importance of the role of universities and student clubs in promoting this path, as they are the largest human reservoir and incubator for young people and Jordanian scientific energies, including professors, researchers, research centers, laboratories, graduate students, researchers and students on study benches.  Universities are the best and strongest vital field for building a new national equation that engages young people in the public sphere and directs their energies towards national issues, and promotes a culture of democracy, pluralism and acceptance of others, and contributes to arming the new generation not only with educational gains and skills, but also with a national culture that is based on values.

Participation in public work, thinking about national challenges and priorities, promoting positive values and rejecting negative ones.
The meeting included two sessions: the first was attended by Samir Al-Rifai, head of the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, and the second was attended by a group of Jordanian university presidents.

Amman Arab University’s participation in such meetings comes as part of the university’s permanent endeavors to promote pluralism, civilized thinking, cultural interaction, acceptance of the other, and renounce all kinds of intolerance and violence. The university has worked and continues to provide the local and regional community with highly qualified graduates.
