Jordanian universities have been applying a number of academic standards to ensure the progress of the academic process in all its aspects towards outstanding achievement in order to be able to translate its educational vision and mission in word and deed, based on its strategic directions and plans aimed at highlighting its institutional identity. The Academy is supposed to be the real key to directing and drawing effective formulas for managing academic affairs at various levels and academic titles.

To confirm this, the regulating instructions in universities clearly indicated the importance of professional academic work and work according to it in order for it to be a slogan and a well-established culture that is manifested in its exclusion and its return for the benefit of all. We fully believe that the universities’ governance is keen to establish this criterion as a main pillar and basis for selecting academic leaders, which we consider, on the other hand, who are interested in academic affairs, is related to how to manage the helm of academic work and create an appropriate atmosphere whose motto is wisdom, professional work, constructive dialogue, respect for all, equality and justice. With full emphasis on staying away from narrow moods and double behaviors based on the popular saying Hamad Wirth and Hamad not Wirth, and not mobilizing academic energies without any real valuable indicators indicating the size of qualitative achievements.
e all hear about the success stories that have been achieved in many universities, which in their entirety were the result of the sobriety and embodiment of the professional culture in academic work through its leaders with a piercing future vision and able to stand on the management of all academic work tracks with high professionalism in an effort to promote the culture of excellence that everyone aspires to. On the other hand, we also hear in many cases frank criticism from workers in the university academic community through their personal dialogues and meetings, related to the existence of a significant and clear weakness in the level of professional culture for many academic leaders and their practices and behaviors that are not indicative of professionalism at all in the management of their work, which indicates the poor choice of those leaders, which are Like a running leader.

In order to translate the work of academic leaders into a professional standard, as the university governance should pay attention and care in sorting these leaders according to the professional standard to be a solid policy that operates within normative controls away from personal standards and recommendations, polishing and common concepts such as balances and the like, all of which are consumed and alien to the academic university community, rather all of them It increases the slackness of the academic work that obstructs academic excellence and creativity and is totally rejected, especially in light of the challenges and big academic files facing universities today. Accordingly, we believe that the paths to success require conscious and effective academic leaders whose leadership capabilities are manifested in high-level professionalism and not running leaders. Rather, the principle is that these leaders are the real key in pushing the academic process towards building and development and charting the best future for universities beyond expectations.
