
Faculty of Pharmacy Celebrates First Patent Registered Under Amman Arab University's Name Nationally and Internationally
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University has expressed immense pride in announcing a groundbreaking scientific achievement - the first patent in the university's history to be registered both nationally and internationally. Dr. Sama Taha, faculty member at the college, has been honored as the official inventor of this pioneering patent, marking a significant milestone as the university celebrates its silver jubilee.
This exceptional achievement comes in the form of a patent titled "Pharmaceutical Composition for Gastric Retention of Doxorubicin, Method of Preparation and Uses in Malignant Tumor Treatment" (International Application No. PCT/JO2025/050002). The patent represents a qualitative scientific advancement in targeted cancer therapy, offering new horizons for precise and effective treatments while providing innovative solutions to enhance healthcare quality for cancer patients, aligning with global trends toward personalized medicine.
