Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Amman Arab University (AAU): Students as Partners in Development

As part of Amman Arab University’s ongoing commitment to fostering effective communication with its students, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences organized an open and interactive meeting. The meeting brought together faculty students with Dr. Wisam Al-Wazni, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, in the presence of academic and administrative staff members. The meeting aimed to listen to students’ perspectives and suggestions in a way that contributes to enhancing the educational process.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Wazni emphasized that students represent the cornerstone of the educational process. She highlighted the Faculty’s commitment to providing a stimulating learning environment that supports students’ academic and professional aspirations and enhances their readiness to enter the labor market with competence and confidence. She also encouraged students to share the challenges they encounter and to actively engage in student activities, particularly through the Faculty’s Student Club.

The meeting included several academic discussions addressing key themes such as academic advising, assessment mechanisms, and field training. It also emphasized the importance of regular attendance and active participation. In addition, the meeting reviewed the (key) programs and initiatives implemented by the Faculty to support students’ educational journeys.

The session featured an open and constructive dialogue characterized by active engagement, during which Dr. Al-Wazni and members of the academic staff responded transparently to students’ inquiries. At the conclusion of the meeting, students expressed their appreciation for this initiative, emphasizing the importance of its continuity due to its tangible impact on enhancing their university experience and improving the educational environment.
