Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in International Conference to Advance Green Economy in Jordan
Within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center at Amman Arab University and local community institutions, and driven by the University's commitment to fostering innovation and excellence, Amman Arab University participated in the international conference to launch the "Component for Supporting Business Support Organizations in Jordan" under the Green Forward project.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Mr. Ayman Suleiman, implemented by SPARK organization with support from the European Union, and in collaboration with the Energy and Environmental Sustainability Center at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, the conference featured Mr. Yousef Al-Khalid from the University's Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center as its representative.
Participants explored the latest global trends in transitioning towards a more sustainable economy, methods to enhance recycling and resource efficiency, and showcased successful experiences in reducing emissions and environmental protection.
The conference also addressed green financing opportunities and emphasized strengthening public-private partnerships to invest in green opportunities within productive sectors. Discussions highlighted the role of enabling legislative frameworks and institutional readiness in supporting green entrepreneurship and innovation, ultimately aiming for a sustainable economic model at both regional and global levels.
