
Amman Arab University (AAU) Highlights Women's Empowerment at IEEE-Jordan WIE Open Day
Amman Arab University (AAU) , represented by the IEEE-Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group - AAU in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the IEEE-Jordan WIE Open Day. The event was held at Jordan University of Science and Technology under the patronage of Her Excellency Professor Dr. Rowaida Al-Maaytah and attended by the Vice President of JUST, Professor Dr. Muna Abu Dalou.
This gathering honored the role of women engineers in Jordan and their efforts in advancing development and innovation within the engineering and technology sectors, featuring broad participation from representatives of Jordanian universities across the Kingdom.
The participation of Amman Arab University students reflects the University's ongoing efforts to raise awareness in engineering and technology fields, particularly among girls and youth, and to spotlight women's pivotal role in technical and engineering disciplines. The IEEE-WIE AAU group demonstrated active engagement by organizing the "Coffee Talk" session, creating an interactive platform for discussing aspirations and challenges facing women in engineering careers. The session showcased inspiring student experiences from diverse backgrounds in an intellectually stimulating atmosphere. The group also hosted a dedicated exhibition booth highlighting its key activities and initiatives in supporting and empowering female students in engineering and technology, alongside distinguished student projects reflecting the creativity and professionalism of Amman Arab University students.
