Amman Arab University’s (AAU) College of Aviation Sciences Participates in the First Jordanian Aviation Future Forum

Under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wedyan, President of Amman Arab University, the College of Aviation Sciences participated in the First Jordanian Aviation Future Forum, organized by the Jordan Engineers Association. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, Minister of Transport, and attended by Eng. Abdullah Ghosheh, President of the Jordan Engineers Association.

Amman Arab University was represented by Professor Dr. Malik Al-Salem Al-Anagreh, Dean of the College of Aviation Sciences; Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasban, Head of the Aircraft Maintenance Department; Dr. Bashar Badr, faculty member; and students from the College of Aviation Sciences. The forum saw wide participation from academic institutions, aviation companies, and various stakeholders in the sector.

The forum also highlighted an active contribution from Dr. Al-Hasban, who took part in preparing the strategic study on the future of aviation in Jordan until 2035. The findings of this study were showcased during the event, contributing to shaping the future development of the national aviation sector.

Students from the College of Aviation Sciences and members of the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) – Amman Arab University Chapter, led by student Mohammad Abu Amsha and supervised by Dr. Bashar Badr, took part in several activities, including the opening session and specialized panel discussions. These covered key themes such as drones, aviation academies, Type Rating programs, and aircraft technology and manufacturing. The forum opened the floor for direct dialogue with students, enabling them to engage with experts and specialists—an opportunity that enriched their knowledge and bridged theoretical learning with practical applications in the aviation sector.

In this context, Dr. Al-Anagreh emphasized the importance of involving students in specialized aviation events, as such participation supports graduates, broadens their career prospects, and strengthens strategic partnerships with the Jordan Engineers Association and relevant bodies.

He highlighted the direct impact of these engagements on enhancing students’ skills and aligning academic outcomes with the evolving needs of the labor market.

Dr. Al-Anagreh also presented an overview of the academic programs offered by the College of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University, which include Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics, and Aviation Management.

He reaffirmed the college’s commitment to advancing its academic programs to meet international standards and support national development priorities in the aviation field.

This participation reflects Amman Arab University’s dedication to strengthening the practical and academic competencies of its students and connecting them with emerging trends in Jordan’s aviation sector.

It contributes to preparing qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with developments in the field and addressing its future challenges.
