The Health Center, in partnership with the Human Resources Department at Amman Arab University and in cooperation with Juthoor Digital Academy, organized a training lecture titled "Basic Life Support (BLS) for First Aid." The lecture was delivered by Mr. Malik Al-Khalidi, a specialist in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Director of the Training Center at the Nurses Association, and a member of the National Committee for Profession Development at the Higher Health Council.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Ismail Yamin, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, representing Professor Dr. Mohamed Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University; Mr. Mohammad Al-Bustanji, representing Juthoor Digital Academy; and a number of academic and administrative staff members and students.

The lecture addressed how to handle emergency situations such as sudden cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and choking incidents, in addition to methods of providing initial assistance by non-specialists until ambulance teams arrive. It also included practical training using advanced simulation mannequins to practice CPR skills for adults and children, as well as instruction on operating and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In this context, Dr. Yamin emphasized the importance of holding such events to raise health awareness and promote a culture of first aid, which contributes to enhancing the university community’s preparedness to efficiently deal with emergencies and sudden accidents.

For his part, Dr. Fadi Al-Da'doul, Director of the Health Center at Amman Arab University, highlighted the significance of such training activities in strengthening the capabilities of students and staff to respond to health emergencies. He noted that the Center always strives to provide innovative training programs that contribute to raising the level of preparedness and health awareness within the university community.

The event concluded with an open discussion and exchange of views, during which participants expressed their benefit from the scientific and applied content and their desire to repeat such training activities. This initiative aligns with Amman Arab University’s mission of serving the community, promoting health awareness, and equipping students and staff with practical skills that contribute to saving lives and reducing complications in critical situations.
