Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Arab Amman University (AAU) Transform Theoretical Knowledge into Innovative Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Products

As part of Arab Amman University’s commitment to promoting innovation and academic excellence, and its dedication to developing students’ practical skills, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy presented distinguished scientific production projects that reflect their ability to transform theoretical knowledge into pharmaceutical and cosmetic products suitable for practical use and evaluation. The projects were supervised by Dr. Naseeba Al-Qateesh, a faculty member at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The pharmacy students presented their production projects within the course Pharmaceutical Practice (2). The first group, consisting of students Haneen Asaad and Majd Al-Akash, presented a skin-cleansing and refreshing solution made from rose water. This product is characterized by its soothing and refreshing benefits for the skin, as it helps reduce irritation and redness, purify pores, and restore the skin’s natural pH balance. It is also easy to prepare and relies on safe, natural ingredients suitable for all skin types.

The second group, consisting of students Aya Al-Omari, Aya Al-Sharif, and Yara Atwa, presented a natural product based on Moroccan indigo (Indigofera tinctoria). This product is distinguished by its ability to provide deep moisturization, lighten pigmentation, and unify skin tone, in addition to its soothing and nourishing properties, with an emphasis on the advantages of using natural plant-based ingredients.

Meanwhile, the third group, consisting of students Batool Jabr, Fatina Adas, and Heba Al-Balbeisi, presented a natural exfoliant made from ground rice and natural oils. This product works to remove dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, and improve skin texture safely. It is characterized by being natural, low-irritation, easy to prepare, and adaptable in formulation to suit different skin types.

The fourth group, consisting of students Rousan Al-Zawahra, Amer Nawafleh, and Mousa Abu Anzeh, prepared a daily skin moisturizer based on glycerin and natural oils to maintain skin hydration and prevent dryness, while providing a protective layer that helps improve skin elasticity. The project presentations included detailed explanations of the formulations, preparation steps, and mechanisms of action for each product.

These projects reflect the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy students at Arab Amman University to carefully selecting active ingredients and scientifically integrating them to deliver products that are comprehensive in terms of effectiveness and quality. Samples of some products were distributed to attendees for evaluation of their quality and effectiveness, serving as clear evidence of the academic and practical excellence that the Faculty of Pharmacy strives to achieve. This is accomplished by enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in developing real products with medical and commercial value, thereby enhancing their readiness for the labor market and encouraging innovation and scientific research.
