
The Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University Participates in the Artificial Intelligence Conference
Amman Arab University, represented by its Faculty of Law, participated in the "Artificial Intelligence: A Legal Vision for a Sustainable Future" conference, held at Al-Balqa Applied University. The event brought together a select group of academics and researchers specializing in law and technology. The university was represented at the conference by Prof. Dr. Muhannad Abu Moghli, Dr. Mohammed Matalqa, and Dr. Abdalhadi Alrashdan from the Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University.
During the conference, the participating professors presented a scientific paper titled "Legal Obligations of Artificial Intelligence Software Developers." The paper discussed the legal framework governing the work of developers creating AI-based software and the legal implications of decisions and actions made by AI systems, particularly in the absence of specialized or comprehensive legislation in many legal systems. The paper highlighted the importance of regulating the legal relationship between AI system developers and users, along with their legal responsibilities when damage results from AI usage. It also emphasized the need for flexible legislation that can adapt to technological changes and safeguard the public interest within a framework of justice and digital governance.
This participation reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University to actively contribute to scientific discussions on emerging legal issues and to strengthen its role in keeping up with technological advancements that directly impact legislation and society. This aligns with national efforts toward digital transformation and achieving sustainable development goals.
