Dialogue Session at Amman Arab University's Pharmacy Faculty Strengthens Student Engagement

Demonstrating Amman Arab University's commitment to fostering genuine partnerships and strengthening communication channels with its students, the Faculty of Pharmacy recently held an extensive dialogue session. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwaij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, along with faculty and administrative members, and was conducted in person while also being made accessible remotely via Microsoft Teams to ensure maximum student participation.

Dr. Abu Huwaij opened the session with a welcoming address, emphasizing that such meetings serve as a cornerstone for institutional development and reflect the faculty's dedication to transparency and openness. She stressed the importance of building a collaborative relationship with students in decision-making processes related to academic and service matters, thereby enhancing the quality of the educational environment.

The discussion covered key academic topics, including lecture quality, assessment effectiveness, and timetable organization, as well as challenges students face during exam periods and ways to support them psychologically and academically. Students also addressed administrative procedures related to registration, highlighting the need for improved academic advising services to better meet their needs and aspirations.

The session also underscored the vital role of extracurricular activities in supporting academic progress and skill development. Achievements from various student clubs—such as the Scientific Research Club, Innovation Club, Community Responsibility Club, and Pharmaceutical Practice Club—were showcased. Additionally, the "Student Skills Portfolio" was introduced as a strategic tool for professional empowerment through specialized training programs and workshops organized within the faculty.

At the conclusion of the session, students expressed their gratitude to the faculty administration for providing such open dialogue platforms, which reflect a spirit of transparency and foster an integrated educational environment focused on academic excellence, personal growth, and social development.
