
Cooperation Agreement between Amman Arab University (AAU) and Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries to Enhance Practical Training and Applied Research
As part of Amman Arab University’s commitment to expanding its strategic partnerships with leading national institutions in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, the University has signed a cooperation agreement with Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries. The agreement aims to support the educational process, enhance practical training, and strengthen the applied and research aspects related to academic programs, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates who meet labor market needs and keep pace with rapid developments in the pharmaceutical industry.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by its President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wedyan, and on behalf of Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries by its General Manager, Dr. Rami Sabarini, in the presence of Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Mai Al-Hawamdeh, Head of the Training Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Dr. Reem Al-Khalili, Deputy General Manager for Technical Affairs at Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Wedyan expressed the University’s pride in this collaboration, noting that the agreement aligns with the University’s vision of building effective partnerships with institutions in the health and pharmaceutical sectors. He emphasized the importance of linking academic curricula with real-world requirements and enabling students to acquire essential professional skills before graduation, thereby enhancing their readiness to enter the labor market with competence and confidence. He also highlighted the University’s strong commitment to developing its academic and training programs in accordance with the highest standards of quality and accreditation, in line with national directions supporting the pharmaceutical industry and scientific research.
For his part, Dr. Sabarini expressed his pleasure in signing the agreement with Amman Arab University, praising its academic reputation and distinguished standing. He affirmed the readiness of Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries to provide a supportive and motivating training environment for students, helping to refine their practical skills and transfer professional expertise, in a way that benefits students, the institution, and the pharmaceutical sector as a whole.
Professor Dr. Abu Huwij noted that this agreement represents an important step in supporting the specialized academic programs at the Faculty, particularly the Master’s program in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs. She explained that the agreement will provide high-quality practical training opportunities for students within Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries, strengthening the applied dimension of the program and linking theoretical knowledge with real professional practices, in line with labor market requirements and enhancing graduates’ readiness to work efficiently in pharmaceutical industries and regulatory affairs.
This agreement comes as part of Amman Arab University’s efforts to enhance the integration between academic education and practical application by providing high-quality field training opportunities for pharmacy students at the facilities of Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries, in accordance with approved regulations and instructions. It also promotes the exchange of scientific and practical expertise and supports joint scientific and applied research.
