College of Engineering at Amman Arab University (AAU) Organizes Training Course on PROKON Software
The College of Engineering at Amman Arab University organized a specialized training course titled “Computer-Aided Structural Design Using PROKON Software,” as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance students’ scientific and practical skills.
The course was held in line with the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Weyden, President of Amman Arab University, and under the supervision of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs. The training was delivered by Engineer Mona Al-Momani, a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering.
The workshop addressed advanced topics in structural design and the analysis of reinforced concrete structures of various types using PROKON software. It also focused on determining optimal reinforcement values for structural elements in accordance with approved engineering codes and standards.
The training course provided an interactive learning environment that encouraged active discussion and engagement among students. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas, contributing to a deeper understanding of civil engineering concepts, strengthening the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and gaining exposure to the latest engineering tools and technologies used in the labor market.
