Amman Arab University's (AAU) Information Technology Faculty Participates in the 4th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Disaster Response

Amman Arab University participated in the proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Disaster Response: Innovations and Strategies (AIDR 2025). The conference was organized by the Risk Analysis Modeling and Simulation Center at Al al-Bayt University, with broad participation from experts and researchers from Jordanian and Arab universities, in addition to the Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre.

Dr. Omar Al-Akash from the Faculty of Information Technology represented Amman Arab University at the conference. He presented a scientific paper titled "Intelligent Risk Management: AI Applications in Forecasting," in which he showcased the latest artificial intelligence-based methods and models for enhancing institutional readiness and rapid disaster response. The paper garnered notable attention from attendees for its applied content, which reflects Amman Arab University's commitment to scientific research addressing national and global issues.

The conference, which witnessed a distinguished attendance by an elite group of scientists and experts, featured a series of scientific sessions and workshops. These discussed the use of AI in disaster prediction, early warning systems, infrastructure protection, and climate change, alongside examining the ethical and legislative aspects of these modern technologies.

On this occasion, Dr. Rami Sehwail, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized the importance of faculty members participating in international conferences and presenting specialized scientific papers. He indicated that such participations contribute to translating theoretical expertise into practical application, thereby enhancing the role of scientific research in serving society. The Faculty's attendance at this conference reflects its keenness to strengthen its involvement in specialized scientific events and exchange expertise with researchers in vital fields such as artificial intelligence.
