Amman Arab University (AAU) Students Participate in the "Jordan Trails" Scout Camp
Reflecting Amman Arab University's commitment to promoting the values of belonging and volunteerism, a number of the university's students participated in the activities of the national scout camp "Jordan Trails." The camp was organized by the Jordanian Association for Scouts and Girl Guides in cooperation with the Princess Basma Scout Camp.
The university was represented in this camp by student Islam Abu Al-'Asal from the Faculty of Business and student Omar Mohammed from the Faculty of Information Technology, as part of a youth delegation that included participants from various Jordanian universities.
The camp aimed to instill the values of national belonging and Jordanian identity, develop leadership skills and a spirit of teamwork among youth, in addition to highlighting the tourist and historical landmarks with which the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is rich. The camp's activities included two main aspects: a theoretical one involving lectures and workshops on various topics such as leadership skills, first aid, time management, and the fundamentals of scouting. The practical aspect focused on implementing field scout trails, volunteer activities, and field visits to tourist and archaeological sites, allowing participants to apply what they had learned practically within an interactive group environment.
On this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University, affirmed that this participation reflects the University's commitment to providing integrated educational and pedagogical experiences for its students through extracurricular activities that contribute to shaping their personalities and enhancing their life skills. He indicated that the Deanship of Student Affairs, through the Rover and Ranger Scout Troop team, was keen to ensure a distinguished participation that reflects a bright image of the University and its students.
Amman Arab University believes that such events represent a real opportunity to promote positive values among youth, empower them to take responsibility, and engage in community service with a spirit of initiative and giving, aligning with its vision and mission to graduate a creative, aware generation capable of facing future challenges with confidence and competence.
