Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates with Distinguished Presence at IEEE Jordan Day

Reflecting Amman Arab University's commitment to supporting students and encouraging their participation in technical and engineering events, the IEEE-AAU Student Branch from Amman Arab University took part in the "IEEE Jordan Day" event. The event was held at the Applied Science Private University and organized by IEEE Jordan, with participation from all IEEE branches across Jordanian universities.

This year, Amman Arab University's participation was marked by the active involvement of the IEEE-AAU branch with all its student societies: the Computer Society (CS), the Computer Information Systems Society (CIS), Women in Engineering (WIE), the Power and Energy Society (PES), the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS), the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), and the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS).

The participating student societies from Amman Arab University set up a dedicated booth showcasing their most prominent projects, activities, and achievements. This provided attendees and visitors with an opportunity to learn about the diverse specializations and innovations implemented by the university's students across various fields of technology, engineering, and science. The student societies were supervised by Dr. Omar Al-Tarawneh, Dr. Wala'a Al-Amouri, and Dr. Omar Al-Akash, faculty members from the College of Information Technology; Dr. Mai Al-Hawamdeh, a faculty member from the College of Pharmacy; alongside Dr. Lyal Al-Zabin – Advisor of the IEEE-AAU Branch and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Dr. Al-Zabin emphasized the importance of Amman Arab University students participating in such national events, which contribute to developing their technical and leadership skills and enhance their sense of belonging, innovation, and teamwork.

For their part, the participating students from Amman Arab University expressed their happiness and pride in representing their university at this major national event, which brings together IEEE students and engineers from various Jordanian universities. They confirmed that their participation was a distinctive opportunity to exchange experiences and connect with the broader IEEE community across the Kingdom.
