
Amman Arab University Organizes Training Course on "Discretionary Powers in Criminal Justice Procedures"
The Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Affairs / Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office (King Abdullah II Fund for Development) at Amman Arab University, organized a free training course titled "Discretionary Powers in Criminal Justice Procedures." The event was held in the moot court hall on the university campus.
The course was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs, who delivered a welcoming speech emphasizing the importance of such training activities in enhancing students' legal skills and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in the field of criminal justice.
The session was conducted by Dr. Ibtisam Al-Saleh, Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, Amman Arab University. She provided a detailed explanation of the discretionary authority granted to criminal justice officers and its role in upholding justice, along with the legal and ethical challenges professionals in this field may encounter. The course included extensive discussions and questions from attendees, reflecting the students' keen interest and engagement in benefiting from both academic and practical expertise.
This training is part of a series of workshops organized by the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office at Amman Arab University, aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills to enter the job market with competence and distinction.
