
Amman Arab University (AAU) Honors Top High School Students in Ain Al-Basha District and Baqaa Camp
In reinforcement of its cooperation bridges with the local community, and under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University, Dr. Omar Mashhour Hadetha Al-Jazy, the University organized a ceremony to honor top high school students in the Ain Al-Basha District and Baqaa Camp. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, representing Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, the University President, along with a number of faculty deans, directors of administrative units, local dignitaries, and a crowd of the students' parents and families. The event was coordinated by Dr. Basma Abu Jaber from the Office of Practical Education, Creativity, and Community Service at Amman Arab University.
In this context, Dr. Al-Jazy stated that organizing this ceremony and honoring the top high school students reflects Amman Arab University's deep interest in the younger generation and its constant endeavor to promote the values of excellence and distinction among our students. "Today, we are not only celebrating success but also the continuous efforts made by your dedicated teachers in your schools and the dear parents who supported you at every stage of your education," he added. He further noted that this honor is a motivational message for our students to continue giving and striving in their educational journey, maintaining perseverance and ambition, to be able to effectively contribute to building the bright future of Jordan with all pride and honor. "Thus, we all affirm that academic excellence and diligence are not merely personal goals, but a responsibility towards the nation and society, and the path to building a conscious and distinguished generation capable of facing challenges and contributing to the community's advancement."
For his part, Dr. Al-Hamad said that Amman Arab University, by celebrating you today, embodies one aspect of its social responsibility towards the nation's children, affirming its permanent commitment to extending bridges of cooperation with the local community in all its sectors and institutions, and offering its academic and social expertise to serve the nation and its people. He explained that the University always seeks to enhance partnership with the local community in all governmental and private sectors, providing services with all its capabilities on both the academic and social levels, and highlighting its distinguished role in providing educational opportunities for all members of society in general, and for the people of this surrounding area in particular, by offering qualitative specializations at the bachelor's, master's, and higher diploma levels.
For her part, Professor Khawla Sa'ada, a member of the Advisory Council for the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University, expressed her pride in what the University offers to the local community and the residents of the camp in terms of discounts and numerous privileges, describing the University as a beacon of knowledge and a distinguished national edifice in education. The ceremony also included several speeches delivered by dignitaries from the Ain Al-Basha District and the Baqaa area, in which they expressed their pride and gratitude to Amman Arab University for this annual initiative, and congratulated the students on the fruits of their efforts in achieving excellence and success in the General Secondary Education Certificate examination.
For his part, Mr. Waleed Abdel Rahman, Head of the Baqaa Camp Services Committee, welcomed the attendees, expressing his pride in this annual initiative that Amman Arab University consistently organizes, which reflects its continuous commitment to supporting the local community and serving its causes. He emphasized that these efforts leave a tangible positive impact on the lives of the camp's residents by providing academic and social support and promoting values of cooperation and solidarity between higher education institutions and the community.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the patron honored the high school students by presenting them with distinctive appreciation gifts, expressing recognition of their achievements and distinguished efforts during their academic journey, and emphasizing the importance of supporting and encouraging students to continue achieving academic excellence.
