
Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in the 11th International Scientific Conference on Sustainable Development from a Sharia Perspective
Amman Arab University participated in the 11th International Scientific Conference titled "Sustainable Development and Its Applications from a Sharia Perspective," organized by the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Yarmouk University.
Representing the university were Dr. Kifah Al-Souri, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, and . Dr. Khaled Abu Sheriah from the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences.
During the conference, they presented a specialized research paper titled "Food Security and Its Impact on Achieving Sustainable Development Amid Conflicts – A Jurisprudential Study." The paper highlighted food security from an Islamic perspective as a fundamental pillar for eradicating poverty, improving public health, and promoting social stability in conflict zones. The conference included various scientific sessions and workshops discussing Sharia-compliant sustainable development, the green economy, Islamic finance, and the role of educational institutions in supporting national development agendas.
