The College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University organized a celebration for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, under the patronage of Senator Asia Yaghi. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wafa' Al-Eid, the Director of the Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktum School for the Blind, Ms. Suhair Matar, and educational consultant Dr. Khalil Al-Zyoud, alongside faculty, staff, and students.

In her address, Senator Yaghi emphasized the importance of the day in highlighting the rights of persons with disabilities and promoting their inclusion. She commended the university's advanced facilities and specialized programs designed to support students with disabilities. Ms. Matar presented the ten-year strategy for inclusive education, focusing on the concept of "reverse inclusion" and practical initiatives. Dr. Al-Zyoud shared inspiring examples from Arab and Islamic heritage, advocating for a shift in perspective from "disability" to "different ability."

The celebration also featured the participation of students from a local center for persons with special needs and showcased a film about the university's newly opened Special Education Laboratory. The event concluded with the honoring of participants in recognition of their efforts in supporting inclusion and empowerment.
