The Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University Holds the Third Edition of the "Five-Minute Thesis" Competition for Graduate Students

The Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) Holds the Third Edition of the "Five-Minute Thesis" Competition for Graduate Students

With the aim of enhancing and refining the research skills of graduate students, enabling them to share their thesis ideas with peers, and equipping them with effective presentation and public speaking skills, the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University organized the third edition of the Five-Minute Thesis (5MT) competition. The event was overseen by Professor Dr. Namir Al-Imam, Dr. Thamer Al-Saraira, Dr. Layal Al-Zabin, Dr. Ghaith Al-Jaradat, and Dr. Tareq Al-Bashtawi. The competition included participation from Master’s students in Computer Science who had completed their thesis proposals.

At the beginning of the competition, Dr. Rami Sehweil, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, expressed his gratitude to all those involved in organizing the competition and to the judging panel. He praised the academic level of the students and encouraged them to take part in college and university activities due to their significant role in developing both personal and academic skills. Additionally, the Head of the Department, Dr. Thamer Al-Saraira, emphasized the importance of such competitions in helping students develop soft skills and guiding them to improve their research and academic capabilities.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Sehweil honored all participants and the top winners of the competition. The first place was awarded to student Atika Al-Shayab, second place to Lana Al-Khawaldeh, and third place to Salem Al-Sarraj.
