In line with the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and as part of the university’s commitment to bridging academic outcomes with the labor market while enriching students' educational experiences—under the guidance of Dr. Anwar Al-Asaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering—civil engineering students embarked on a scientific visit to the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center.

The visit was supervised by Engineer Shahd Al-Mawas and Engineer Israa Al-Hayasat, faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University. The trip featured a distinctive academic and educational dimension, introducing students to cutting-edge technologies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, geospatial mapping, and automated drafting. Additionally, they explored the processes behind producing digital and paper maps, as well as the services the Center provides to governmental and academic institutions.

Several students also experienced Virtual Reality (VR) technology at the Regional Center, where they had the opportunity to explore simulated engineering and geographic environments using advanced interactive tools. This highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies, such as VR, into engineering education, as it broadens students' horizons and reinforces concepts through immersive learning.

At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their appreciation for this unique experience, which enriched their practical knowledge. They commended the Faculty’s efforts in organizing such events that enhance their academic and professional skills while connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. Engineer Shahd Al-Mawas extended her gratitude to the Center’s administration for their warm reception and excellent organization, emphasizing the significance of such visits in refining students' competencies and preparing them for the job market.
