Amman Arab University Participates in a Workshop on "Legal Standards for the Use of Artificial Intelligence" at the Greater Amman Municipality
Amman Arab University, represented by its Faculty of Law, participated in a specialized workshop titled "Legal Standards for the Use of Artificial Intelligence," organized by the Greater Amman Municipality. The workshop aimed to shed light on the legal and regulatory aspects associated with the use of AI technologies in the workplace.
The university was represented by Professor Dr. Enas Al-Khalidi and Dr. Basem Al-Assaf, faculty members from the Faculty of Law, who delivered a scholarly lecture addressing the intersection between artificial intelligence and the law. Their presentation also highlighted the key legal challenges that may arise from the use of such technologies within local government administrations.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the legal standards for AI use within the Greater Amman Municipality. It also sought to enhance awareness of how AI and technology function in the legal field, and to explore the governance and regulation of AI from the perspective of municipal operations.
Key topics discussed during the workshop included: an introduction to artificial intelligence and the law, AI applications in municipalities, and emerging legal issues and challenges related to AI use within the Greater Amman Municipality.
The workshop specifically targeted employees working in legal affairs and departments whose functions involve interaction with AI technologies, with the goal of enhancing their ability to assess the legality and appropriateness of using such technologies in their professional environment.
