Amman Arab University (AAU) Organizes Training Course on "Positive Behavior Support"

The College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs/Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office, organized a training course titled "Positive Behavior Support." This event is part of a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing students' professional and practical skills, held under the directives of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and with the direct support of Dr. Wafa Al-Eid, Dean of the College. The session was supervised by Dr. Nabil Homedan, Head of the Special Education Department and Field Training Supervisor for Master’s students, with the participation of several students from the department.

Student Du’a Amera from the Special Education Department led the training workshop, which focused on reinforcing effective concepts and methods for dealing with various behaviors. The session included practical applications of key aspects of positive behavior support and received active engagement from attendees. The workshop covered several main topics, most notably, Modern practices in modifying human behavior. Contemporary approaches to behavior modification for individuals with disabilities.

This specialized training aimed to strengthen practical strategies for addressing different behaviors, incorporating hands-on exercises that fostered positive interaction among participants.

The session was marked by enthusiastic participation, with attendees expressing appreciation for the rich practical content and its role in enhancing their professional readiness. This initiative aligns with Amman Arab University’s ongoing vision to bridge academic education with practical application and labor market demands, contributing to the development of highly qualified educators capable of tackling professional challenges with confidence and competence.
