Amman Arab University (AAU) and Al-Manara Islamic Insurance Collaboration Opens New Horizons for Training and Employment for Business Faculty Students

Reflecting Amman Arab University's ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships with private sector institutions, the University has signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Manara Islamic Insurance Company. The agreement aims to enable students to gain practical training and exchange expertise in the fields of insurance and risk management.

The agreement was signed by University President, Professor Dr. Mohamed Al-Widyan, and by the General Manager of Al-Manara Islamic Insurance Company, Mr. Mohammad Muslim. The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mazen Al-Qadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Manara Islamic Insurance, alongside Professor Dr. Ismail Yamin, Assistant President for Academic Affairs; Professor Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, Assistant President for Planning and Quality Assurance; Ms. Nadia Al-Qademat, Assistant President for Financial and Administrative Affairs; and Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawnah, Dean of the Faculty of Business. Representing Al-Manara Islamic Insurance were Mr. Nasser Al-Deek, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Emad Al-Deek, Board Member; and Dr. Ali Al-Wadi, Head of Agent, Broker, and Marketing Operations.

During the signing, discussions were held on forms of cooperation and activation mechanisms between Amman Arab University and Al-Manara Islamic Insurance. This includes enhancing the partnership to develop human competencies, providing training and employment opportunities for students and graduates of the Faculty of Business, and designing academic and training programs aligned with labor market needs. The collaboration will also involve organizing workshops and training programs for Al-Manara employees, supporting scientific research, conducting joint studies, and providing professional consultations and technical support for student graduation projects. The parties agreed to establish a timeline for implementation and form a joint committee to follow up on execution and measure impact.

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Widyan provided an overview of the University's history, its faculties, the educational opportunities available to its students, and the qualitative expansion of its academic programs. He highlighted a range of distinguished specializations that reflect the University's future-oriented approach, such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Finance and FinTech, and Aviation Management at the bachelor's level. He also emphasized the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation embodied in the University's educational environment, which reflects its quality of education, scientific research, and academic governance.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Widyan affirmed the University's efforts in community service through its Office of Community Responsibility and active partnership programs, noting the University's recent advanced rankings in several international classifications. He also highlighted the recent qualitative achievement of establishing the Technical Faculty, recently approved by the Higher Education Council, which adds value to the University's faculties through programs focused on applied and advanced technical skills at the bachelor and diploma levels. This approach is based on practical training, partnerships with the industrial sector, and innovation incubators, aligning with labor market needs and supporting Jordan's economic vision. He indicated that this partnership with Al-Manara Islamic Insurance falls within this strategic path to enhance student experiences, build their capacities, and enable them to enter the job market with confidence.

For his part, His Excellency Mazen Al-Qadi stated that this agreement embodies a model of integration between higher education institutions and the job market. He affirmed the Company's commitment to supporting Amman Arab University students through organized field training programs, specialized lectures, and employment opportunities for outstanding graduates, in addition to technical support for graduation projects and providing professional consultations.

He explained that "Al-Manara", as an Islamic insurance company committed to the provisions of Islamic Sharia, principles of sound governance, and risk management, will leverage its expertise and technical capabilities to support digital transformation paths and insurance innovation (InsurTech). It will also implement joint initiatives in insurance awareness and community responsibility, contributing to empowering Amman Arab University students and preparing them for the job market, while enhancing the private sector's role in supporting the national economy in line with Jordan's economic vision.
