
Amman Arab University (AAU) Concludes a Training Program Titled "Preventive Psychological Counseling" to Enhance Student Mental Health
Amman Arab University, through the Dean of Student Affairs and in cooperation with the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, has concluded a training workshop series titled "Preventive Psychological Counseling." The program was presented by faculty members Professor Dr. Suhaila Banat, Dr. Ahmad Hrahsheh, Dr. Feryal Al-Haj, and Dr. Khalil Al-Fayoumi.
The workshops aimed to highlight the importance of psychological counseling as a preventive and developmental process. Key topics included conflict resolution from a psychological perspective, effective time management to reduce stress, and change management to build psychological resilience. The program emphasized the role of counseling in helping students understand themselves, regulate emotions, develop coping skills, make conscious decisions, and manage academic and social pressures.
This initiative underscores the university's commitment to providing integrated counseling programs that support students' mental well-being and personal development throughout their academic journey.
