
Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in Judging Student Projects at the International Biomedical Engineering Summit (MedRoots 2025)
Demonstrating its commitment to strengthening its international partnerships and contributions in support of scientific research and higher education, Amman Arab University was represented by Dr. Malik Al-Jawarneh, Assistant Dean of the College of Information Technology, and Dr. Omar Al-Mrayat, a faculty member in the College of Information Technology. They served as judges for student projects presented at the First International Biomedical Engineering Summit (MedRoots 2025), which brought together an elite group of researchers, experts, academics, and representatives from medical and scientific institutions from various countries. The summit constituted a high-level scientific platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise and showcasing the latest research and innovations in the field of biomedical engineering and advanced health technologies.
Through the university's participation in the judging committee for project evaluation, both Dr. Al-Jawarneh and Dr. Al-Mrayat explained that the projects were assessed based on precise criteria considering the quality, originality, and feasibility of the ideas, with a focus on linking academic aspects to practical application. Emphasis was placed on projects that integrate artificial intelligence, modern medical technologies, and related software, given their importance in developing smart healthcare systems and enhancing the integration between technology and medicine.
