
Amman Arab University Reinforces Its National Role with Dialogue Session Under the Slogan "Let’s Participate, Let’s Engage Politically"
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in partnership with the College of Business and the College of Law, organized a national dialogue session titled "Let’s Participate, Let’s Engage Politically." This event is part of a series of discussions aimed at enhancing national and political awareness among university students.
The session was inaugurated on behalf of the university president by Professor Dr. Ismail Yamin, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, in the presence of Professor Dr. Nouman Khatib, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Jumaa, and Dr. Fahd Al-Kasasbeh from the faculty, along with a number of students from various disciplines. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Fares Al-Majali, a faculty member at the College of Law.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Yamin emphasized that Amman Arab University has always been a national platform fostering constructive dialogue. He encouraged students to engage responsibly in political party work in accordance with legislative requirements, reinforcing national values among the youth and expressing their deep Jordanian allegiance to the country, leadership, and national cause.
For his part, Dr. bin Tarif highlighted the importance of holding such events on campus, given their role in developing political awareness among youth and encouraging their participation in partisan activities and electoral processes. He also praised the Independent Election Commission’s efforts in supporting and motivating university students to actively engage in the democratic process.
This session aligns with Amman Arab University’s ongoing efforts to create a university environment that encourages national dialogue and fosters a unified national discourse reflecting students’ awareness and unity around national constants. It is part of a series of national dialogues aimed at strengthening students' political and national consciousness while promoting a cohesive national narrative that embodies their sincere belonging and commitment to Jordan’s core values.
