
Amman Arab University Participates in Health Awareness Initiative at Al-Sarh First Schools
In a humanitarian initiative reflecting values of giving and solidarity, Amman Arab University participated in a health awareness event at Al-Sarh First Schools, held in celebration of Jordan's Science Day. The event aimed to promote health awareness among school students and was organized with the support of the University Health Center staff. Attendees included Dr. Mohammad Ben Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Hanandeh, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, along with pharmacists and university students from various colleges.
At the opening of the event, Dr. Ben Tarif delivered a speech emphasizing Amman Arab University's commitment to serving the local community. He highlighted the importance of health awareness and spreading medical knowledge across all segments of society, particularly among school students.
For his part, Dr. Rami Hanandeh, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, praised the collaborative efforts between the university and schools in promoting health awareness and fostering cooperation between educational institutions and the local community. He also accepted an honorary shield on behalf of Dr. Ben Tareif in recognition of the university's efforts in this field.
This initiative is part of a series of activities carried out by Amman Arab University as part of its ongoing commitment to active engagement in community issues and promoting applied learning among its students. Through such programs, the university seeks to enhance students' role in community service while developing their practical skills by applying classroom knowledge in real-world settings. The event included health screenings for students, along with the distribution of awareness brochures on public health and disease prevention, benefiting approximately 100 participants.
