
Towards Higher Academic Quality: Workshop at Amman Arab University Discusses Cybersecurity Program Accreditation Requirements
The Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University held a specialized training workshop for faculty members in the Cybersecurity Department titled "Jordanian Accreditation Standards for Cybersecurity Programs and Requirements for Obtaining Them."
Dr. Manar Mizher, Head of the Cybersecurity Department, delivered a presentation on the concept of academic accreditation, its importance, and its role in aligning the program with the National Qualifications Framework. She emphasized the significance of meeting accreditation standards to ensure program quality.
Dr. Dyala Ibrahim, a faculty member and member of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Committee, explained the process of preparing the Self-Study Report (SSR) and documenting required evidence in accordance with accreditation requirements. She also highlighted the steps to achieve academic standards based on approved regulations.
Dr. Rami Sihwail, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, stressed the importance of obtaining Jordanian academic program accreditation, particularly after the program’s successful alignment with the National Qualifications Framework earlier. This reflects the Faculty’s commitment to academic quality, enhances higher education standards, and strengthens the university’s reputation—positively impacting graduates' competitiveness in the job market.
Such workshops align with Amman Arab University’s efforts to raise faculty awareness and enhance their capabilities in meeting accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
