The College of Engineering at Amman Arab University wins the European ERASMUS+ Exchange Grant with the University of West Attica in Greece

As part of Amman Arab University's efforts to expand its international relations, enhance international cooperation, and boost its reputation in global forums, and under the guidance of the university’s President, Professor Mohammad Al-Widan, and the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Amman Arab University signed an exchange agreement for the ERASMUS+ ICM program between the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University and the University of West Attica in Greece.

These EU-funded projects are significant for the exchange of faculty, administrative staff, and students. All universities in Arab countries compete for such valuable projects. The agreement was signed by Professor Mohammad Al-Widan, the esteemed President of Amman Arab University, and Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, the Dean of the College of Engineering, representing Amman Arab University. Representing the University of West Attica were Professor Theodoros Xanthos, Vice President for International Affairs, and Professor Fokas Georgios, representing the institution. The agreement will take effect starting from the current year, 2025, and will last until 2027.

These projects are part of the ERASMUS+ program, funded by the European Union, aimed at the exchange of faculty, administrative staff, and students, and the development of higher education institutions and research for 2023, as announced by the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. The ERASMUS+ program works on developing competencies in both public and private higher education institutions and supports activities in the fields of education, youth, sports, information technology, curricula development, and quality assurance.
