Currently, I am a professor and chairman of Computer Information System (CIS) department and teaching in Computer Science (CS) department at Amman Arab University. I have a Ph.D. in Computer Information System/ Artificial Intelligence, and teaching experience includes over 35 different information system courses over 20 years to University students (14 and 6 years as Ph.D. and M.Sc. holder, respectively). I have developed an innovative approach to teaching and conducting research with undergraduates and graduates through creating and presenting course materials in both laboratory and classroom settings. My teaching evaluations showed that students appreciated my enthusiasm and knowledge of my topic, as well as my ability to lead tutorial discussions in an inclusive manner.

I was working as chairman for several departments and computer center manager in two universities. My past experience have prepared me well to be very familiar with ABET, because I achieved the full curriculums of CIS and SE programs according the ABET requirements.  I am involved-in and very active member in most of the faculty committees. I am certified Quality Assurance assessor, and certified trainer in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (I developed the first learning application in Jordan using Augmented Reality (MagicABC)).

My principal research areas are: image processing, data mining, neural networks, and information retrieval. I have published about 69 research papers in international journals and conferences; most of them are indexed in Thomson ISI and Scopus.  I was as supervisor for one Ph.D. dissertation, and 24 M.Sc. theses. Moreover, I am an editorial board member for two international journals, and an ad-hoc reviewer for many valuable journals. Moreover, I was a chair of multiple International conferences.
